DESCRIPTION

This integrated circuit providesall video and sound
switching allowing connections between the peri- plug and video, sound sectionsin the TV set.
Input and output signal characteristics follow the
NFC 92250/EN 50049 norms.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The main functionsof the I.C. are following:
Video Switching
electronically switched inputs: one 2.5VPP input for internal video. one 1VPP input for signal coming from the peri-TV
plug. outputs:
-1VPP output (low impedance 75Ω) for peri-TV
plug.
-1VPP output low impedance for video sectionof
the TV set.
Each input and outputis protected from ground
short-circuit. The 75Ω outputis protected through
a75Ω resistor.
Audio Switching

Two electronically switched inputs: 300mV rms input coming from internal audio. 100mV rms input coming from the peri-TV plug
one low impedance output 300mVRMS.
Inputs and outputs are also protected against
ground short-circuit.
Switching Logic

The logic takes into account the informations on3
pins. Internalor external video and sound (pin8 peri plug) BandIII information Video recorder key.
External Video and Audio signals are selectedin
two cases. When thereisa voltage information coming from
peri-TV plug. When the video recorder keyis selected (on TV
front panel) and programmedon bandIII.
This I.C. includesan internal switch (open collector
transistor) which commutes the time constantof
the horizontal PLL circuitin caseof video recorder
reception.

SAFETY INFORMATION FOR CRITICAL APPLICATIONS
Voltageon pin9 must not exceed the VCC voltage pin 13.In caseof riskof over voltage, use the
protectionas describedin Figure2.
All connectionsto Peritel plug are terminatedby low
impedance loads (75W), except the external sound
input. caseof riskof electrostatic discharge, use the
protectionas describedin Figure3.
